OUR TRACK

The Tri-City Kart Club welcomes you and your family to come and visit us at the Horn Rapids Kart Track located just outside Richland, WA.  To get more information or a guided tour of our racing facility, contact any of our Board officers or members listed in Contact link. All of our members will do everything they can to answer your questions, and show you around.

We maintain a family-friendly environment. As you walk around the pits, you will see a lot of participation that could include grandparents, moms, dads, sisters, brothers, friends and even aunts and uncles as the kart (and the racer!) are being prepared for exciting races. We have a lot of family tandems: father-kid, brother-brother, grandpa-grandkid and a lot more. Of course one racer in the family is not enough, right?

Our youngest racers start at just 5 years old, and our eldest racers are 60+ years old and enjoying every race. Karting is not a frivolous sport and racers, especially the young ones, learn the necessity of safety and preparedness, along with the valuable mechanical skills that will help them throughout their lives.  Our young competitors learn to compete in a sportsman-like manner against each other. Many of our former TCKC racers have graduated to bigger and better forms of motorsports, and if you talk to them, they’ll tell you that the lessons they learned while competing at TCKC are very valuable to them.

During races, all efforts are made to keep everything in the context of what it’s supposed to be ……… FUN!!
