Presidents Pit
Welcome to 2007! And what a great year we have cooking for you! Hope that everyone enjoyed their holidays, now it’s time to start talking racing! We have a ton of news for the new year – Three new Board members to welcome – David Dean, Kurt Fisher and Ron Goodman, Great Regional Racing with two IKF Races and two Cascade Regional Series Races and maybe the biggest news of all – A new name for our local club series – The Burris Super Series! We have teamed up with Mike Burris of Burris Racing – (You know his products – Oils, Tires, Wheels, Motor Mounts, etc.) for the title sponsor of our Local Series. Along with it comes the clout and credibility that our Club and Facility deserve. We have the opportunity, with Mike’s help, to make our track THE destination track in the Northwest!. Mike’s attitude toward the local karter has caught on with us, and will make your racing some of the most economical yet competitive that this area has ever seen. We start with his tire, which will be the 2007 Spec. Tire for this Series. Burris has been in the tire business since the early days of “gumball” tires in the late 70’s. They have gone through all of the cycles that has taken place in the karting world and has a tire that will be as competitive as the Bridgestone YHC, yet has more longevity. The Burris tire will be cheaper than the YHC, yet will last longer – what more could you ask for! Burris will bring more to our Club than just great rubber. We are working with him on contingency awards and other cool stuff that, along with our great facility, will make it a must to come to our events! Keep watching for more updates. We hope the whole atmosphere of these event will be upgraded, but still keep the fun and family type atmosphere of Club level racing. We want to make our Track the place to be, and to try to pull people from the other areas of the Region to come and play with us. We feel this will take us to this level. Stay tuned, check the new schedule out and start getting tuned up for a truly great and groundbreaking season with the Tri City Kart Club.
Thanks, Bill Ross
